I want to take advantage of the Alicat example "Alicat Simplified Driver Example_Multiple Devices with Setpoint".
What is the easiest way to copy the example into my own VI? When I copy the block diagram, I lose the structure in the front panel. I feel also some wiring gets lost. Any suggestions?

I have a program where have two for loops nested. In the inner for loop I collect data and plot it immediately. When the iterations of the inner loop have ended and a new iteration of the outer loop begins. I aim to change the colour of the plot so that I can know the difference.

Hello, there. I'm a student that got into a research in which the team uses a pair of small torque engines and a thermopar in a breadboard with a rhaspberry. We have a python code running it (controlling torque, time and collecting the thermal data that we process later).
The idea is that we'd run the same test, but using LabView so that not only we have a slightly more friendly front interface, in which we could vary time and torque just by inputing different numbers in the front panel, but we could also generate a temperature graph as the test goes (as opposed to it providing just numbers as the test ends with the python code)
Thing is... I never used LabView before and I'm not that great with programming either. Should I try to migrate the existing python code to LabView and figure out how to make it run and appear with a front panel or should I start from zero in LabView and use the code just as a parameter (the code is not really long, 500 lines or so, and most of it its just comunication between pc and breadboard, and variables)

Hi this is my first post here and I need some urgent help, my school assignment is to develop a washing machine controller system. There is two modules required a client(controller system) and a server side(washing machine). My plan is to use the controller system to start the washing process and I have connected both with TCP and it works fine. The problem is that after selecting wash mode and water level in the client side the server side water tank and thermometer won't change in value even though I have programmed it to. I am quite desperate as I have run out of ideas on what could cause the issue. Can anyone help me with the issue? I have attached my vi files below.

I have a SubVI that processes an array with three columns: Temperature, Time, and a Boolean signal (1 or 0). Each set of 10 rows represents a recipe step, where each step should last for the number of minutes specified in the Time column. This part is working as expected.
Now, I need to modify the SubVI such that when transitioning from one step to another, the system must wait for user confirmation via a button before proceeding. The problem I am encountering is that the timer continues running while waiting for the user's confirmation, and I want the timer to pause until the user presses the button to confirm. Once the user confirms, the timer should resume and continue counting.
How can I modify my SubVI to pause the timer and resume it after the user confirmation?
In addition, I would like to ask for suggestions on what kind of pop-up or notification could be used for this confirmation. What is the best way to implement this kind of user interaction in LabVIEW?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have an issue in using the send email function that I need for my project. I'm using LabVIEW community 2023 on macOS. The simple vi in photo returns me this error and i couldn't find any appropriate solution on the other posts on the forum. I am using outlook and smtp2go in order to avoid any problem related to privacy settings.

１．トリガーがポートに入力していなくても、入力を待たずしてokを出して次のプログラムに移動してしまう。
2.トリガーがない場合は、エラーなく次のプログラムが動くが、トリガーありにした場合、通った後のプログラムがエラーを吐いてしまう。
使用環境
NI PCle-6343を使用し、BNC-2120のデジタルポートを使用し入力している。入力は１を出力するプログラムを入れたArduinoをしており、NI MAXにて１が入力されていることは確認しています。使用しているサンプルプログラムは、デジタル連続入力です。

I bought a PCIe-7842R Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Device form NI instrument, according to the manual ('Getting started with R Series Multifunction RIO'), we are trying to let the data acquisition board talk to the computer, we want to use the that to read the signal from the PMT. I download the LAB view 2025 Q1 Version.
However, when we use the LabVIEW Example finder to look or the NI 7842R device (I followed the manual step4, using the device with a LabVIEW FPGA Example.). it shows no items found, means didn't find anything specific to PCIe-7842R. But I check by NI MAX, it shows the device there, we need some technique help to get start the LABVIEW.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Im a new Labview user. My project is to modify and be familiar with the current Labview program. I installed Labview to another PC and connected every peripheral that includes camera and a chinese motion driver for my stepper motors. I want to clarify that the current system works with another PC but my managers want to implement the program into my own PC. I successfully connected the camera but NIMAX doesnt recognize the motor driver via ethernet - its not listed in NI-MAX. I ensured that I can "ping" the IP address of the motor driver(thru command prompt) but it didnt work when I run the exe file(standalone file) of our program. Is there a specific driver I download or software to connect the motion driver to Labview? Is there a DLL file for a motion controller?
I would add that my ethernet cable coming from the motor driver is connected to a ethernet to USB cable? Would that have an effect on it? I assumed no, because I can ping the hardware.

I'm reworking an existing LabVIEW VI. It's used to measure Dew-Point Temperature, External Temperature etc. In the lab, we have it connected to a MBW373. I'm working from home and can't access the MBW, so I'm trying to simulate the data stream so I can test the VI as if it were connected to the MBW. When running the VI, we input the appropriate COM Port to communicate with the MBW.
I'm using com0com and created a virtual COM Port pair (COM3, COM4). I've tested them with a Python script and they successfully send each other data. Now, I want to create a Python script that would simulate the behavior of the MBW with that COM Port pair.
Let's take the Dew-Point Temperature instance, that's implemented in the working VI. The VI opens the port with the VISA Open function and configures it with the VISA Configure Serial Port. Then it sends the port the command DP? with the Carriage Return Constant appended. After the COM port receives the command it returns a value, that is read inside the VI.
How should I go about writing my virtual MBW? I'm thinking of creating a Python script that takes in the commands from the VI and answers with the appropriate measurement data, using the appropriate MBW syntax. But I'm not exactly sure what to do with my COM Ports. If anyone can help with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

This happened before so I uninstalled previous versions of Labview with package manager but the problem persists. Any suggestions?
The problem is mentioned in this post What-is-ni-ceip-x86-error but it is out of date, obviously been a problem for a while.

I using LV2018 and am trying to implement a simple retry algorithm for when my OPC client loses connection to the OPC server, but the problem is I am not getting any errors when reading/writing. How can I implement a simple retry function that keeps retrying to connect until the VI is turned off?
My lab recently purchased the LP126MU camera from Thorlabs, and I'm hoping to interface it with Labview to perform some real near-time data processing. I have done some really basic labview programming in the past, so I was really excited to see that Thorlabs offered SDK kits for their cameras. However, I'm having trouble loading all of the programs into Labview and keep getting the following error in my dependencies (see below) which leads to 1172 errors all over the place.
I'm almost certain the issue is with how I'm saving/nesting the different provided Thorlabs files, which is probably breaking the library/assembly, but I've tried a bunch of different configurations and nothing has worked. Does anyone have advice on how best to store/manage/upload the provided Thorlabs SDK so that everything loads properly? I am so hopelessly lost on how to manage assemblies/libraries that any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am attempting to create an ROI from the contour of an image, in this case i am checking comparing a benign melanoma image.
I have marked out the contour of the original image in binary
is there a way to now overlay this contour ontop of the original image, and use it as an ROI?
this way i can check specific features inside the ROI and benign melanoma image.

I use LabVIEW ini file read/write functions at various places.
I have this [Main] section where most things get written-to and read-from.
At some point, however, a bunch of KEYS and their respective VALUES get mysteriously WIPED OUT (DELETED).
I have hunted for a process that does this to no avail.
Does anyone know how this can happen?
When this happens other Keys remain. The truncation happens from a specific Key downwards.

I start using LabView2024, and i want to check list of RIO cards in PC. In LV2019 I checked it with VISA Find Resource. In 2024 version i didn't get list. In NI MAX I see devices.
If the filename don't fit into the Path control the abbreviation cuts out all and shows nothing. It should show something, right? Like "...\...-d21e141c5ce2_1.pdf"
