FFT, How do I control the frequency domain?

$

Hello!

There are 3 items in my zip file, an XML, a VI, and a picture. Drop the XML onto your C:\  drive. The XML contains sinusoidal sample data. The operating frequency of the device under test is 5 MHz.  The samples were collected using a sample rate of 100MHz. I want to run an FFT on the sample data to examine its composition from 0-10 MHz. The picture shows an existing FFT with a frequency domain of 0-10 MHz. The y-axis is in decibels.

How do I control the input values of the frequency domain which are used to produce FFT output values? How do I modify my existing VI to output in the same format as the picture?

Save HDF image in LabVIEW

Hi,

would like to store some image data from a 2D-Picture control to an HDF file using the marvelous Live HDF5 package. However, I was not able to save the data in such a way that HDFView recognizes them as "Image" datatype. I tried writing the attributes CLASS, IMAGE_VERSION, IMAGE_SUBCLASS etc along the 2D array of data but still it is only considered as a table in HDFView. How can I set the data type to be "Image"?

Thanks a lot

When I went to step 4 based on this post,I met a question.
I did not find the Oscillator and  PXI_Clk10 in the source.I also did not find the ClkOut and  BoardClk in the Destination.
Thank you very much.

Hallo,
I have a question regarding the JSON format.
I have version 5.1 of LabVIEW and would like to save different values / variables in the text file as JSON format.
Are there specific solutions for LabVIEW Version 5.1.1? If so, can you send me the IV.LIB or an example?

MODBUS TCP/IP Read Holding Register using LabVIEW error

Hi all,

Using LabVIEW 2017, i am trying to pull data from (DIRIS A-40) power meter through Modbus-TCP. using attached vi (Power meter modbus.vi). but it gives the following,

1- error code:-389121

2- Source:<APPEND>Function 3.

After searching for this error its something to do with Gateway misconfigured or overloaded.

Hence: I used ModScan32 to retrieve same holding registers and it worked fine with same settings used in previous vi.

attached you can see the settings were made for both programs (LabVIEW and Modscan).

Thank You.

Hello,

I am trying to connect Tesla meter via USB to LabView, to read data measuring data.

I create and instal INF file. I have VISA instaled already.

In MAX i can see that instrument is available. Picture 1.

I wrote a simple VI, but i don't have anything in my VISA resource. in att picture 2.

Can someone please advise, how to get communication with this USB?

Thank you a lot,

Hi, I'm Engineering student

I'm doing my final degree project and I have a problem.

In my application, I have a server implements in Arduino with ESP32. It run ok continuosly.

The client is implement in LabVIEW. This is the application:

1. I create a TCP connection.

2. I send a frame with information to the server.

3. The client wait the server response.

4. When the information from server is received in the client, I process that.

5. Them, close the conection. (The server is listening another client connection).

** 6. Press a button for start step 1.

I want a button that start the application, without abor the execution. I'm new in LabVIEW and I don't know how to do it, and I can't find any example.

Please, help and thank's.

Hello I am using NI8452 to communicate with Gyro and accelerometer (XL) using I2C. I have successfully read one sensor data at one time.i.e, gyro or XL. I was wondering if i can get both the senors data at the sometime? Sine both the gyro and XL will share the SDA and SCL line but I have no idea how i will configure two slave addresses using NI8452 I2c configuration node. The gyro and XL have different slave addresses gyro slave address = 0x68 XL slave address= 0x18 Any help would be highly appreciated Thanks

Combining VIs (position control and data acquisition)

$

Hi to everyone,

I'm using a cRIO 9074 with NI9401 and NI9220 modules. The general idea of what I'm trying to achieve is to do position control to a motor that moves a mechanism in order to do impact experiments to some plates made of composite material. I've already constructed 2 Labview Projects. The first one is the implementation of position control and uses NI9401 module for digital input (Encoder measurements) and output (PWM signal). The position control has been implemented in a Host vi (Real Time) and the Encoder measurements and the PWM signal that my controller is generating are implemented at an FPGA vi. The second project is for acquiring (analog) data (measurements) from the plate and uses NI9220 module, so again this project has a Host vi and an FPGA vi. Both projects are working perfectly fine so I want to combine them, in order to first do the position control of the motor and after that, just before impact happens, to start acquiring measurements from the plate. The problem is that when I did that combination the PWM signal was not generated and the motor was not moving even though the control loop on host was working and the analog measurents were still working fine. From my knowledge, I think that you can't run from a Host vi (Real Time vi) 2 different FPGA vis simultaneously, so I combined also the 2 FPGA vis into one in order to have one FPGA reference in my host program. I'm attaching the combined VIs (Host and FPGA)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A subvi that runs only the first time labview is opened?

$

I'm looking to create a subvi that only runs the first time LabVIEW is opened on the computer (every time you completely close LabVIEW and reopen it, it will run). I've been told this can be done by using a Boolean variable and setting the default setting to true, after the vi runs once it turns off, so that the case that contains this subvi is just skipped over.

I don't have any starting code, so I don't have anything to attach or show. I'm just not sure how to make the Boolean variable turn off after the first run and reset when labview restarts.

Any help is appreciated, and if you have a better way of doing it than the way I explained let me know!

We are trying to avoid doing a button press event to trigger the vi to run, we'd like it to be automated.

Compiling

I am running LabVIEW 8.6.1.  When I compile the program, I can generate a list of dependencies showing all of the sub-VIs in my program.  Great.

Is there any way to export that list to a Word doc or an Excel file so that I can include it in a manual that I am sending to my client as part of the source code?

Numeric with Named Bits.xnode

In here is a package containing "Open VI Ref Options.xnode", which I made because I could never remember the bit meanings. But it's only one thing; and there's this other thing called "File Permissions" (and I can't remember those bit meanings either); and there are probably going to be more things whose bit meanings I won't be able to remember. But I don't want to make a new XNode for each one (I'm way too lazy for that).  So I made this configurable thing called "Numeric with Named Bits.xnode".  By default it's configured as an "Open VI Ref Options" thing; but you can right-click and select "File Permissions", or "Configure ..." to setup any bit names you want.
