Load Conflict seemingly broken my VI even when resolved?

Hi all, I've been having a boggling issue with a VI no longer saving data as it should, which is suspect is related to these errors I was getting about a load conflict.

I have a VI called "NET_Scan_Accel_41s.vi" within a project called "FPGA computer connection_BDAs_modified_FPGA.lvproj."

When I first open the VI from the Project, there is a Resolve Load Conflict window regarding a control (.ctl) file called "Bindary_data_save_typedef.ctl." I chose the path where the Project and control file are actually stored. The VI opens and I get a Load and Save Warning List, warning me again that "Dependency loaded from new path (1 warning affecting 25 callers)." All of these callers are subVIs called things along the lines of "Binary_data_save_subvi_blahblahblah." Which is important because the problem I'm having is that the VI runs just fine (no broken arrow) but the data is not being saved

I have tried finding the ctl file in the Files tab of the Project Explorer, right clicking and selecting Resolve Conflict, which seemed to update the affected callers to look in the new dependency path. So now when I open the VI, I don't get the Resolve Load Conflict or Load and Save Warning List, but the VI still does not successfully save the data.

Any reason why having a new path for the ctl file would affect the function of the subVIs?

I did not write this program, so I am a bit lost.

The original cause of all these errors in the first place also boggles me. It was working one week, and the next week it wasn't. The only thing that happened in between was another student on the project did a full metal backup of the computer we're working on. Not sure why that would affect anything. Interestingly, last week, I loaded up a (different) backup of the project in a new directory and the VI opened without these errors and the data saved successfully -- but now, another week later, even the backup isn't saving the data!!

Week 1 -- all working fine.

Week 2 -- original project VI giving errors and not saving data, but back up worked.

Week 3 -- both the original and the backup not saving data.

Help much appreciated!
