Lakeshore VSM Remote GPIB?

Hello, I am controlling a Lakeshore VSM controller via remote GPIB. Unfortunately, the SCAN command does not seem to work. I was wondering if there is a good way of sending a Remote enable command to the Lakeshore? Thanks in advance for any help.
